the weekly update

thursday: we moved from our first little apartment...to my parents house..kinda sad to leave our little place...but excited for where we are going....and i did something drastic that night...but i will save that surprise for another post
friday: woke up sore, realizing it's probably not a good thing to move the day before you have a half marathon...drove up to logan for a little weekend getaway...oh and to run that half marathon....met the cutest baby in the entire world....drove to all of our favorite logan spots (made me really miss logan)....ate the best pasta at firehouse.....relaxed our muscles for the big race in the hot tub...and went to bed at 9:30

saturday:woke up at 5:00 am, rode a bus, rode another bus...stood in the cold for a long time...finally got to the starting line...around 7:15 we started the race...and by 9:15 we were done with the race..max and i ran together for about 6 miles...then my stomach decided to give me the worst pain of my life...so i told max to go on....pretty much as soon as he left i felt better....and wasn't to far behind him...but we did it.. after a summer of 6 o'clock runs we completed our first half marathon together and had so much fun running the race together and cheering each other on...

a little sidenote of my experience doing half marathons....once i hit mile 10 i keep thinking why i am doing this...why do people put themselves through this awful pain...this isn't fun...i am not smiling or laughing...i actually was crying just a few miles ago when my stomach was hurting...why i am doing this....my feet were throbbing...my legs felt about 20 pounds heavier....after 10 miles i was sick of running and i still had 3 to go..i thought during those last 3 miles..i am never going to do this again....and yet sometime after i finished...my legs still struggling to function properly my crazy mind started thinking about the next half marathon i could do....
