house hunting

i came to philly for a week to spend the time finding the perfect house... well i was in philly for about 1 hour and we had a lease signed...which meant i spent the rest of the time hanging out with the husband before he left for russia for 2 months

this is max's home for the next 2 years

while i was in philly it happened to be the husband's birthday...we started out the day attending church, then touring campus

we had sushi for lunch on campus (and I spilled soy sauce all over the only white shirt he has with him...and he didn't even get mad..he's a saint for dealing with me sometimes) 

then went to Max's Seafood Grill for dinner 

then took a walk along the river bank

For memorial day we.....

went to valley forge and suffered from the hottest day EVER...

 

and visited independence hall and the liberty bell

this is my favorite picture...you can see our house from the museum...i am so excited for the area the house is in.

it was the best week ever...which is going to make these next 2 months feel very long..

but the husband safely made it to Russia...he is living with a babushka (a grandma) and she is already taking such good care of him. She got really mad at him when he first arrived because he hadn't called me yet, she she let him borrow her phone to give me a call. 

i'm sure he is going to have a great time there...and hopefully he won't have to many crazy stories...
