The Horsley's: new york and cruising day 1

on july 27 i flew to the JFK airport to meet up with Max after a very long summer apart. i got there about 3 hours before him and seriously couldn't stand waiting. it was so weird to see each other. it felt so surreal and not normal...it took us a few minutes but by the time we got his bags and out to the shuttle everything felt back to normal.

we spent the night in new york and then the husbands parents and Caprice, Jason and Eliza met up with us at the hotel after their red eye flight...I felt so bad for them because they were so tired...Eliza warmed up quickly to Max. She usually gives her pouty face to people she isn't comfortable with (she has even done it to me when I haven't seen her for a while) but she didn't give it to Max. She just kind of stared at him and then after a few minutes he was holding her and she was laughing away!

while the girls got some rest we ventured into the city and saw wall street, the 9/11 memorial and the brooklyn bridge

then we went back for the girls and came back into the city ( mind you it probably took 45 minutes to get in) and headed for times square....it was so crowded and we were so tired and then it started to POUR and since we had the baby we all pretty much felt like giving up...so we went home and watched the Olympics..don't worry though..i still love NYC..

the next morning we got ready and headed for the cruise ship...we took a cab through NYC which was a great sightseeing ride and then sailing out of the harbor gave us another great look at the city. day 1 on the cruise was nice and relaxing. max and i still felt like we were living in a dream actually being together!
