an instagram update

we helped with our ward trunk or treat for halloween. we seriously have the cutest babies in the ward...max is standing with the 2 other first year MBA students that are in our ward...the one in the middle is a beaver because he is canadian

we survived hurricane sandy..we were actually incredibly blessed to hardly feel anything from the storm. preparing for the storm was definitely interesting. seeing empty shelves at the store was a little concerning. luckily we listened to 1/2 of the prophets counsel and have our 3-month supply of water. 

the picture of the knives and backpacks is what i woke up to one morning as max prepared for the hurricane....(i think he was preparing for a zombie Apocalypse) 

the sunday before the election we were able to attend a Romney rally about 30 minutes north of the city . it was the coolest experience. getting in was ridiculous...we got to the exit at 4:00 and didn't get into the rally until 6:30. there were SO many supporters and it was 45 degrees outside.  they said that 30,000 people attended. i had never been to a rally before but it was very patriotic and inspiring. while we were waiting in the security line people starting singing patriotic songs. i was very very excited to actually see Mitt and Ann. they are two incredible people and it was fun to watch them interact. 

love this city so much. i never ever want to leave. the city is a perfect...nyc is too big and slc is a little on the small side but philly is a perfect mix of the two. they have so many restaurants with all different kinds of food. so far we've eaten at a turkish, thai, indian, italian, greek, and mexican restaurants. the shopping is all in one place. the campus is beautiful. the river trail is beautiful and it's so full of history. 

miss eliza jane turned one this past week. i cannot believe how fast this past year has gone (it's also been a year since bryson left). we were luckily enough to be invited to eliza's birthday party via skype. caprice and jason were so good to include us in the festivities  I had been SO sad about not being able to be there when she turned one so it was very fun to get to watch her open presents. the picture above she is holding the bunny we gave her. when she first opened the present jason gave her the bunny, she grab it and then just started hugging and rocking back and forth...it was the CUTEST thing...we cannot wait to see her in just a few days! 

i got to go shopping with some of my friends last saturday in center city. we had a blast. our friends out here are so awesome. the one on the far right lives in my building and it has been SO much fun! we were really have been so blessed by the friends we've made here.

that's the latest in our home

max is INCREDIBLY busy. he is taking 7 classes because of his dual degree (most students only take 5). they are in the recruiting season for internships so they have tons of information sessions to attend to. and he home teaches 6 families. like i said very busy but he loves it and is very happy!
