family came

first we had the horsley's come for a quick weekend visit. it was fun showing them around the area.

a week later my family (5 of them) came for a week long visit...we all squished in a small 1-bedroom apartment but it was a blast

 {first stop was the mariner's game}

 {we did a little flashback photo..the top was taken when we went to a mariner's game in 2007. the bottom 2013. pretty sure my mom and sister haven't changed at all...they don't age!}

{on saturday we spent the day at the beach}

 {max bought a really fun kite. took awhile to figure out how to use it but once we did everyone had fun}

 {the clouds went away for about an hour which was great. except if you notice my pants are rolled and my legs are ghastly white and i ended up getting a little burned on my calves which means i have a pretty awful tan line}

 {we got stuck in the sand..twice..first time some guy (along with all of the other guys) helped push us out..the second time jacob pulled a bourne move, jumped out of the car and pushed the car out of the sand then jumped back in the moving car}

 {the emp museum was so cool. we recorded a song, and got to try lots of different instruments. we also got to pretend play for a live audience!}

then two weeks after that my aunt and her family came out

we spent one day at pikes and chinatown and then another day searching for sea glass on whidby island

 {i have loved being close to family}
