3,000 miles later.....

we have returned from two week long vacation....i went a little picture happy and took a lot {i'm not even going to tell you how many, it's embarrassing} but i thought everyday i would just post a few...but first i have to go through them...so it might be a while...until then i have made up a list of some of the things we accomplished on our trip...

spent a night in the airport
ate a true chicago deep dish pizza {best pizza ever}
saw the river in chicago that they turn green on st. patty's
toured the kirtland temple and other sites in kirtland
saw notre dame
went to THE OHIO STATE...
and along with that saw the biggest ohio state fans...how could i tell..they were getting married and they were all decked out in their OSU gear
bought some amish bread
hung out with the 3 cutest kids in the world
visited one too many antiques malls
ate at subway about 100 times
drove a lot
touched a handrail that Abraham Lincoln very well could've touched
went to an abraham lincoln museum that was actually pretty cool
drove on route 66
touched the st. louis arch {i was too chicken to go to the top}
saw the mississippi river {twice}
saw where the liberty jail was
had one late night dinner {a family vacation must}
came to a smelly, crock roach hotel...ended up in a beautiful one for the same price
saw independence, far west, hans mill, and adam-ondi-ahman
got the boys to watch the hannah montana the movie with us {i even heard a few laughs}
drove in a wagon around nauvoo, just like the pioneers
saw the burial site of the prophet joseph and his brother hyram
saw vocal point 3 times {there's not a lot to do in nauvoo late at night}
met the cutest sr. missionaries in nauvoo
heard many powerful stories of the sacrifice the early saints made
ate inside a pizza hut..some how this has become a tradition
saw cornfield after cornfield
ate fabulous custard on a date with max in nauvoo
found the best mexican restaurant in america
walked in the nauvoo temple
visited carthage jail
ate some more deep dish chicago style pizza that was even better than the first
visited 5 states
drove over 3,100 miles...in a van....with seven people
rode in three airplanes to get home

Yea!! Let me talk to Jeff and find out what works. Are you guys going to ward temple night on Thursday?

K so I guess we are going to be out of town this weekend. Oh and are you coming to Enrichment tonight? 7pm

Sounds like one eventful trip! I bet you are exhausted!
