to all my fans out there.....

to my many many fans...all two of you...i thought it would be nice to inform you i will be taking a two week vacation to the great midwest. my trip will make stops in chicago, columbus, kirtland, nauvoo, and much more more. we are headin out with my family for a promising fun filled adventure! so there may be a lack of post for a few days....i know many of you are simply heart broken but in the mean time you can just read over some of my older but wonderful posts....(obviously i am totally not this full of myself)

since i don't have any pictures i thought i would share a funny story from my laugh that i recently remembered the other day....

Title: the day the pizza caught on fire

I was blessed with the great opportunity of working for USU catering my first year at USU...i worked in out-catering department which simply meant instead of people coming to me for food i came to them. one night me and marie (awesome co worker) had an order of about 25 pizzas all the way across campus. usually we were lucky enough to drive this beauty....(that in of itself has thousands of stories)

However on this eventful day we need to keep the pizza warm, in order to do this we use this quite large warmers.....about 5 and 1/2 feet tall by maybe 5 feet...i really don't do well estimating size..but they are huge and heavy cause they are made of metal(trying to help you get a picture) ....well in order to transport this huge things you must use the huge catering trucks....and so the story begins....

we were running late, everyone was yelling at everyone else trying to get this order together. one of the chefs graciously said he would load the pizzas into the warmer....then me and marie..both small and weak girls.....got that huge thing into the huge delivery truck..in order to safely travel you have to strap everything down....so on one side of the truck we strapped the warmer down...on the other side we had a cart carrying plates, napkins, cute decorations....there wasn't time to strap it down so i volunteered to stand in the back and hold it in place

we begin our drive, i am happily holding down the cart talking to marie when i notice smoke pillowing out of this large warmer......a little curious i decided to check it out...well i still had to hold on to the cart which was on the other side of the truck...so i thought i would hold it with my leg then reach over to the warmer, open it up and see what was going on....

i unlock the warmer...and to my suprise i am greeted with a lot of black smoke....my lungs are burning ....and when the smoke lightens up i see that the bottom box is literally on fire.....

so i reach over to the cart...still holding it in place with just my leg so i can reach the now on fire pizza boxes.....i grab a metal server....(all the will screaming/laughing to marie that the pizza boxes are on fire) with the metal server i just start hitting the flames...finally after some seriously balancing and hitting i put out the flames....

how may you ask did these boxes start on fire....well to warm up the warmer we put little sternos on the bottom (its pretty much just a little fire) then when the food is place inside...the sternos are supposed to be blown out....however in the chaos of trying to get the order out....someone forgot to blow out that flame....

this story may be better in real life when i can act it out a little bit better...but i am sure whatever you are picturing is pretty close to the real deal....
