today the country of russia celebrated a holiday titled "men's day" since i am married to a man who lived in russia for 2 years we found in necessary to celebrate this momentous occasion.
apparently in russia the deal is women give men (not just their husbands) cards with pictures of tanks and soldiers on them along with a lovely bottle of vodka.
don't worry didn't get husband the vodka this year but i did make a card with a tank on it. it was a card about his manhood and this is what it said (he thought it was funny..i am still undecided):
I hope you know how much i appreciate your manliness, i wouldn't want it any other way. I am also grateful that even though you are 100% man you still are willing to help me with the feminine tasks..that makes you an even better and stronger man. i am also glad you wear old spice because that is another thing that increases your manhood (side note: have you seen those old spice commercials...they are a favorite in the horsley household). Thanks for all of the manly things you do like fix cars, burp loudly, and leave your socks on the floor. It makes me glad to be your woman. You are the epitome of a man to me and i hope on this day you celebrate your manhood by doing the most manly thing possible..just don't get hurt.
I love you, Your Women
so i hope all of you told your men how much they mean to you. i truly am grateful for my man and kind of think he rocks. he has done a lot of things this year to gain that status and i am pretty grateful for all he sacrifices for me...especially the manhood sacrifices he must make on a daily basis from instances of crying, or chick flick watching, or girl talk gossiping..he is a true man and he is all mine
