We took a trip to the land of the Sound of Music. We took another 2 hour train from Munich for a quick day trip to Salzburg. It was so beautiful. I was again amazed at the landscape around the city. The mountains were amazing and everything was so green.
We went on a Sunday and it was pretty dead. Almost all of the stores were closed, but we did get into Mozart's house for free which was great.

{mirabell gardens where they sing do-re-mi}
{mozart's house}
{view from the salzburg fortress}

{recognize this? it's from the sound of music when the von trapps are trying to escape}
{one of my most favorite cathedrals}
{see that little blue light in the middle of the alter on the first picture...yea we caught a ghost on camera...if you look at the second picture the blue light moves...haha..}
{salzburg fortress}
{such a beautiful home}
{we went to nonnberg abbey..where Maria started out....we went inside the abbey and it was really dark and cold and not a soul....it was kind of cool...but then we got stuck in a downpour and crazy wind since we were on top of a hill}
it was very hard to not sing every sound of music song and dance through the streets. but we quite liked the feel of this European town.
