We have wanted to go to Prague for such a long time so we were quite excited to be on our way to this city. We took an early morning bus from Munich to Prague which took about 5 hours. I'm always amazed at how easy it is to travel from city to city in Europe. Also getting around in the cities is actually fairly easy, you just have to make sure to get a map the minute you arrive. Usually the train or bus station will have a tourist information center with free maps. This helped us so much in Prague.
Max did such a good job of navigating and getting us to our hotels. From the bus stop in Prague we had to take a metro and then walk to the hotel. He got us there without even making a wrong turn. Pretty impressive!!!!
Prague was simply incredible!! Every single building was just amazing. Because of Prague's location it was hardly touched by the bombing during WWII so most of the buildings are originals from the 14th and 15th century. I think that is what makes it such an incredible and romantic city.
So without anymore words here are a few (okay a lot) pictures from the hundreds I took:
{a yummy european treat. it can't remember what it was called because each place was different but it was basically circular bread with sugar and nuts}

{we had fun paddle-boating and seeing prague from the water}

{view from our hotel}
{wenceslas square}
{opera house}
{powder tower}
{shopping street in the jewish quarter}
{old jewish cemetery. this is where all of Prague's Jewish residents from 1439 to 1787 were buried. The graves are at least 12 layers deep. they said there were at least 100,000 jews buried here}
{charles bridge}
{fred and ginger building}
{prague castle in the background}
{more of charles bridge}
{love the streets of prague}
{prague was the most tiring physically. there were so many uphills, stairs and cobblestones. our legs were shot. so if you visit prague wear really really good shoes}
{st. vitus cathedral}
{inside st. vitus}
{the amount of tour groups was incredible....incredibly frustrating....they seemed to ALWAYS be in the way}
{max trying out a crossbow}
{his result from the crossbow}
{golden lane...these small homes were built along the edge of the castle for the marksmen to live with their families. they were inhabited until WWII}
{summer palace grounds}
{summer palace}
{john lennon wall. there was a group of people singing "let it be"}
{a drive up drink service for our paddleboat}

{we had fun paddle-boating and seeing prague from the water}
{old town square when it's sunny}
{menu from a very czech restaurant}
{map in the bathroom at the restaurant. there was nothing from utah or philly so i put a flag in for both}
one of our favorite places we've visited. we only had 2 days there and could've spent a lot more time. also as a tip we got a hotel outside of the main city center in a fun little neighbor which reminded us so much of Belgium. but it was so much cheaper and fun to get a feel for what it is like to live in prague.

I love every single picture! Prague looks every bit as incredible as I thought it would. What was the food like? I can't wait to see more of the trip!!
